SPRING GENERAL MEETING DATE IS ANNOUNCED:

Election of Officers To Be Held :    Nominations For Officers Are Now Opened.
The Massachusetts Association For Professional Law Enforcement announces the date for its spring general meeting.    All members are invited to participate, and all have a vote at this meeting.  The DATE will be Wednesday June 12, 2019 at 1.00PM .  The LOCATION:  Clery Hall Conference Room, Stonehill College.   An agenda will be forwarded in the weeks to come.
This year, MAPLE will conduct its second general election of officers.   All members in good standing are eligible for nomination.  The nomination period for candidates is now open, and will remain open until closed at the General Membership meeting just prior to the vote.    The positions open for election this spring are as follows:  President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and five Directors.   There is plenty of opportunity for involvement.   If you are interested in running for a position please send your name, contact information, and the position you are interested in, to Peter Carnes at (plcarnes@comcast.net). Peter is the chairman of the Election committee and he will put your name on the ballot. If you would like to nominate someone, other than yourself, you can also do that,

but you need to confirm with that person that they have accepted the nomination.   When you send in the nomination please include the nominees contact information (email and phone) so that the Election Committee can confirm acceptance.
MAPLE is currently active on many fronts.  Details of our involvements will be forthcoming in an upcoming MAPLE update  to follow shortly.   This is the time to get involved in the effort to improve the quality and public image of our police.
